Europe....Yes

Taking into account how unorganised our group is, planning a holiday, no in fact two summer holidays as early as December is quite an achievement. Last year it took us till May. No. It was the middle of June. Anyways this year we’ve gone all serious. Instead of just our usual cultured, eye opening, perspective changing week long stints in the likes of Benidorm and Kavos, we’ve decided to become proper travellers this summer. Our plan, well when I saw “our” I’m claiming some sort of responsibility that I don’t really deserve seeing as my contribution was to say “Yer that sounds wicked mate.” Our plan is to do a little Euro trip from England to Prague, Amsterdam and Berlin. It looks quite cheap to do as well seeing as we’re not planning on staying in anything that has more than a bed , sink and shower. I think its was £250 or £200 if we take out Amsterdam which we might. My friend’s auntie is a travel agent and is giving us all sorts of advice about doing it as cheaply as possible which is a help. Of course we’re going to some Greek or Spanish, island inhabited by the English to spend a week moaning about hangovers and chasing cats at 4am. Don’t ask. Or well you can but I wont tell you. Anyways I think the euro trip is a great idea. I think I should have done a gap year before uni to go travelling but this should make up for it.

Dundee....No.

Yer, Dundee isn’t happening. Its too expensive and the effort I took in saving up for it was, well none. Oh no, I did put back packet of wine gums that I really wanted the other day but I don’t think that counts.
That’s planning for you!

Going to Dundee?? Probably not

Money, money money! I have none. But I do have friends, and one of them has been asking for over a year now for us to visit him at uni in Dundee. The main problem apart from money is that he always wants me and our mate Raj to come at the worst times, usually in the middle of assignments like this one. Back to the subject of money, £81 pounds each way on the train is the latest “deal” he found so its not looking likely at the moment unless my landlord decides to go insane and let me live in the flat for free? The other option is to go on 13 hour bus ride for something like £20 but the thought of sitting on a bus for that long makes want to stand up right now. Maybe if it were to somewhere more appealing than Dundee in the middle of winter, i might consider it..
